A short, rewarding trek from Pokhara with one of Nepal's best sunrise viewpoints: Poon Hill (3,210 m) looks across to Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and Machapuchare. Days are moderate, lodges are comfortable, and in spring the trail runs through forests of red rhododendron, Nepal's national flower. A good first trek, and suitable for families.
