Three relaxed days in Pokhara, Nepal’s lakeside city at the foot of the Annapurna range. Row across Phewa Lake to the island temple of Tal Barahi, watch sunrise light up Machapuchare and Dhaulagiri from Sarangkot, and walk up to the World Peace Pagoda for sunset over the lake. A good way to rest after a trek, or to see the mountains without trekking at all. Hotels are on Lakeside, a short walk from cafés and the water.
